Pranayama

Systematic breath training — the fastest, most direct lever we have on the autonomic nervous system.

  • 30–45 min sessions
  • Physician assessed

Overview

What Pranayama actually involves

Breath is the one autonomic function you can consciously drive, which makes pranayama the most efficient tool in the entire yogic toolkit. It is also the most commonly taught badly, so we begin with diaphragmatic re-education before any ratio or retention work.

Foundation work covers diaphragmatic and three-part breathing, then nadi shodhana for hemispheric balance, bhramari for vagal stimulation, ujjayi for internal focus, kapalabhati and bhastrika for clearing, and sheetali for cooling.

Ratios and retention (kumbhaka) are introduced only when your baseline breath is smooth and silent. Guests with hypertension, glaucoma, epilepsy or during pregnancy receive a modified protocol — the contraindications in pranayama are real and we respect them.

Before you book

What we promise,
from your first visit

The centre has just opened, so we have no wall of reviews to show you — and we are not going to invent one. These are the commitments instead. Every guest, from the first.

A physician sees you, not a package

Your first consultation runs forty-five minutes and covers history, digestion, sleep, work and stress before anyone examines you. Nothing is prescribed until that conversation has happened.

Every guest, every time

We will tell you if a shorter program is enough

If three days will do what you came for, we will say so rather than sell you ten. If what you need is a cardiologist rather than a cleanse, we will say that too.

Even when it costs us the booking

Everything in writing

You leave with a written protocol in plain language — which herbs, when, which foods to favour this season, and the two or three habits that will move the needle most for your pattern.

Before you go home

The same hands, every day

No rotating agency therapists. A small team you will come to know, reviewed each morning by the physician who wrote your protocol.

Deliberately small

We work alongside your doctor

Bring your prescriptions and lab reports. We never ask anyone to stop prescribed medication, and we will share our notes with your physician whenever you want us to.

Complementary, not competing

One quotation, nothing added later

You receive an inclusive written quotation before any payment is requested. No treatment menu appears halfway through your stay.

Fixed once your deposit is in

What to expect

Questions about Pranayama

If yours is not here, ask us on WhatsApp — a human answers, not a chatbot.

No. Most guests come with a general sense that something is off rather than a formal diagnosis. The initial consultation exists precisely to establish where you are. That said, if you have recent lab reports, imaging or a current medication list, please bring them — it makes the first consultation considerably more useful.

Panchakarma is a staged medical procedure with three mandatory phases: preparation (snehapana and swedana), the main eliminative action, and rebuilding (samsarjana krama and rasayana). Skipping preparation makes the elimination ineffective; skipping rebuilding loses most of the benefit. A spa package delivers the pleasant massage components without the clinical structure — which is fine, but it is a different thing and should not be sold as Panchakarma.

If you are new to Ayurveda, start with the 1 Day Wellness or 3 Day Detox. For a long-standing complaint, seven days is the practical minimum and ten is better. Where the aim is to genuinely rebuild daily habits rather than get temporary relief, plan on the 15 or 30 day program. If you are unsure, take a free 15-minute discovery call — we will tell you honestly if a shorter program is enough.

Entirely vegetarian, satvik, seasonal and cooked fresh in our kitchen — no refined sugar, no packaged food, minimal fermented items. During therapy your meals are prescribed as part of the protocol, which sometimes means a mono-diet of kitchari. We accommodate gluten-free, vegan and specific allergies with notice.

A 25% deposit confirms your booking, with the balance due on arrival. We accept UPI, bank transfer, all major cards and cash. Cancellations more than 21 days before arrival are fully refunded less a small administration fee; 7–21 days, the deposit is retained but transferable for twelve months; under 7 days, the deposit is non-refundable. Medical emergencies are always handled case by case.

Fly Delhi to Dehradun (Jolly Grant, DED) — 50 minutes in the air, then a 45-minute drive to Garhi Cantt. By rail, the Vande Bharat or Shatabdi runs direct to Dehradun railway station, which is 5 km from us. By road it is 250 km on NH-7 and around six hours. We arrange pickup from the airport, the station or Delhi itself on request.
